St. George Marathon

Well, it was all in all a good day.  I really didn't have any goals so any type of day would suffice.  Bum decided to run with me this year so off we went.  Bum, Austin, and I heading down the road.  I enjoyed the company and the gatorade from Louise was wonderful.  We started losing Austin about half way in so we walked awhile and then decided to just keep moving.  I was fun to see Lizzie at the ward'd aid station there at about 19.6 miles.  I was thankful that Bum brought the drugs so I could manage the pain.  This whole run was about 'managing' as we ran when we could, walked a few hills, and just kept moving.  From about 18 miles on, it became increasingly painful with the foot, knee, and hip.  It was just a matter of survival. It was great to see Carrie, Maddie, and CJ as we came into town.  Got a few hugs and kept moving.  I enjoyed the dew from the Ipson's as we strolled down diagonal.  From there on out, I just had to try to finish.  The cold towels are always a big hit.  I was real happy to have this one done and at the finish, I ate too many creamies.

Good day - glad to be able to still do it.
